Why Women Cell?
Government college, Attingal holds the credit of having more than 85% of the total students as girls. Moreover, majority of them are from economically unsecured families. Normally they face many problems such as; physical, psychological and social.
Objectives
The objectives of the club include:
• Provision of awareness about their rights
• Help them to excel in academic and extracurricular programs
• Protect their physical, mental and social health
• Encourage them to develop good habits and to perform their duties
• Train them to raise voice against all types of discriminations
Achievements of the Cell
-
1.The cell could draw the attention of the college authorities to provide waste disposal facility.
2.The shortage of drinking water facility was solved by digging bore well with the support of the PTA.
3.Arranged requirements number of ladies toilets and could initiate the construction of 2 additional ladies amenity centres.
4.Could install 2 napkin vending machines and 3 incinerators in ladies toilets with the support of RUSA.
5.Took interest in the construction and opening of hostel facility for girls and lady staff.
6.Took interest in the revival of co-operative store inside the college.
