The department started its function with a pre-degree course in 1975. The B.Com degree was introduced in 1978, and the department was upgraded to a postgraduate department in 1998. The department is now one of the approved research centres for commerce at the University of Kerala. The department takes pride in offering several innovative programs, including the Investors’ Club, Financial Literacy Club, Entrepreneurship Development Club, and other extension programs under the social service scheme. We have industrial and academic linkages with reputable commercial firms and institutions. We offer a high-quality academic environment to equip the learner community to navigate and succeed in the modern, dynamic educational landscape.
